Pics via Hoth Bricks
I always look forward to the Creator Buildings (like last years Corner Deli, or Bike Shop & Cafe from 2014). They’re proper ‘grown up’ buildings to add to my town layout, and the price generally isn’t too scary.
But Hoth Bricks has just posted some pictures of what we can expect Creator-wise in 2017 and I’m pretty underwhelmed.
31065 is Park Street Townhouse. Sounds good right? Well take a look and let me know what you think.
Ummm. Where to start…it’s ugly – okay so Bike Shop & Cafe are too, but it’s just not giving me the same butterflies I got when I first saw Bike Shop & Cafe or Corner Deli. And what’s with that dog?! Is it a robot dog?! Why have minifigures but a brick built dog?
Yeah I’m not loving this set, which is dissapointing. That being said I’ll buy it. It will be interesting to see how it looks ‘closed’ and I’m thinking that the 3rd build (bottom right on box) looks like it has some interesting features. The medium blue door is also fab and it’s always good to have another scooter!
The second 2017 Creator building is 31063 Beachside Vacation.
I don’t even know where to begin….we’ve just had a similar set in 2015.
Nothing in this set to tempt me, so I’ll be passing on this one I’m afraid.
So not much here to get excited about – of well more money towards Assembly Square!
